Res Ipsa had given the greenlight to begin pre-production on the short film COMMUTE in June of 2006. Based on Marc Wasserman's award winning screenplay, Commute follows the trek of one mans daily commute along the 5 Freeway from Orange County through downtown Los Angeles. Principal photography took place at the end of February and wrapped in March after 6 days of shooting. With a hectic and guerilla style shoot led by their amazing D.P. Ford Austin, the cast and crew spent over 36 hours driving nearly 2000 traffic-filled miles across every freewway in southern california. Shot entirely on location without the use of CGI or Greenscreen, Commute will convey and illustrate the frustrations felt by Commuters eveywhere. Post production is well underway and the film is currently scheduled to premiere at the Action on Film International Film Festival July 27-29 in Long Beach, California. In pre-production is the action/adventure short film GRAPPLING WITH YOUR DEMONS.
